Thanks @KTLA5 for having us! Our co-founder and CIO Dr. Dave Rabin MD, PhD shared some exercises to help activate the vagus nerve to soothe stress. These include:
- 4-7-8 breath, re-popularized by Dr. Andrew Weil, which helps to calm the body by increasing the amount of tone in the vagus nerve
- Gently humming a tune, which makes you feel safe and in control
- Petting an animal, or any other sort of touch therapy (like using the Apollo™ wearable!)
