Apollo Neuro co-founder, Dr. Dave Rabin MD, PhD, on developing Apollo Neuro. Dr. Dave Rabin is a neuroscientist, board-certified psychiatrist, and inventor. As a psychiatrist, he observed his patients couldn’t make progress unless they felt like they were in a space of relative safety. He developed the technology behind Apollo to make the feeling of safety more accessible. Like a friend giving you a hug on a tough day, Apollo sends a signal to the emotional cortex of your brain that reminds us that you9i’re not actually in danger.
We researched and developed the technology behind Apollo at the University of Pittsburgh. As we see consistent positive results in the lab, we are driven to get Apollo into the world and make this powerful technology accessible to everyone.
